Visited a former Basara staff member who now works in the 3rd Bundesliga!

Hello everyone! It's time for this week's intern staff blog!

Last weekend, the sun in Germany was so strong that even I, with my naturally fair skin, got a little sunburned. Lol.

Basara Mainz lost their last match, making it three consecutive official game losses. To avoid letting this negative streak continue, we absolutely want to win this weekend's home game.

And yesterday, we had the opportunity to speak with Kenta Kambarasan, a former Basara staff member who is now working as a boot man for FC Carl Zeiss Jena, a team in the German 3rd division Bundesliga.

While working as a staff member at Basara Mainz, he learned German and proactively approached many German clubs, ultimately securing a position with a 3rd division team. What I found most interesting in our conversation was the difference in the job responsibilities of a boot man between Japan and Germany, particularly concerning cleats. In Japan, boot men also clean the players' cleats, but in most German clubs, they don't, which apparently surprised the players. Also, Mr. Kambara mentioned that the higher the level of play, the more self-sufficient the players tend to be. This made me feel that Basara players should also be more conscious of managing their own personal affairs.

That day there was a league match, and it was my first time watching a 3rd division game. Even though it's a 3rd division team, they have a beautiful clubhouse, stands, and several training grounds at the stadium. I was once again impressed and captivated by the greatness of German football culture.

Following in the footsteps of my esteemed先輩 (senior colleague), I strongly feel that I want to cherish my time at Basara Mainz even more, as my dream is to work as a staff member in the Bundesliga. I will continue to take on challenges with an even greater drive for improvement than the players!
