A new chapter begins in the story of FC BASARA Mainz. We are pleased to formally announce that FC BASARA Mainz has become the international development partner of 1. FSV Mainz 05. Since its founding in Mainz in 2014, FC BASARA Mainz has always been a bridge connecting Japan and Germany. Today, by officially joining hands with Bundesliga club Mainz 05, that bridge becomes stronger than ever before. This is a decisive moment in the history of our club. Through this partnership, the path to Europe for challengers pursuing their dreams will become clearer and more accessible than ever before. By deepening our ties with Mainz 05's academy, youth development system, and business operations, we will collaboratively shape the next generation of Japanese-German exchange, both on and off the pitch. Furthermore, we are proud to announce that Shinji Okazaki, founder and head coach of FC BASARA Mainz, will also concurrently assume the role of Official Club Ambassador for Mainz 05. He will further strengthen the bridge connecting Japan and the Rhine region. Comment from Shinji Okazaki Mainz 05 has been and continues to be an important presence in my football career. I spent the most fulfilling period of my Bundesliga career here, and I have always valued my connection with the city and the club. That is why I am truly delighted to be able to take on the role of Club Ambassador for Mainz 05, alongside my activities as a coach and football executive. Through this position, I hope to further develop football exchange between Japan and Germany at the youth level.
