We are pleased to announce that FC BASARA Mainz has entered into a new sponsorship agreement with Juchheim Co., Ltd.
【Comment on the Sponsorship Agreement】
<Hideo Kawamoto, Representative Director, Juchheim Co., Ltd.>
Juchheim founder and confectioner, Karl, was reportedly an excellent soccer goalkeeper and played against a Japanese team as a member of a prisoner-of-war camp team during World War I. My grandfather, Haruo Kawamoto, deeply loved soccer in Kobe and established a sports foundation, providing long-term support for the development of junior youth generations and coaches.
We believe in the "power to bring peace to the world" that sweets and sports possess, and as a bridge between Germany and Japan, we have loved and will continue to love sweets and sports. FC BASARA Mainz's challenge is akin to Juchheim's challenge to revive Baumkuchen in Germany, and we "Shinzidate" (support from the heart) this encounter of comrades who will together achieve their dreams through sweets and sports.
Today, March 4th, is "Baumkuchen Day." This day was established to commemorate the first sale of Baumkuchen in Japan on this day in 1919. We are very happy to take a new step forward with Juchheim on this special day.
