On November 1, 2025, FC BASARA Mainz held a joint event with 1. FC Willy Wacker Hechtsheim, also based in Mainz-Hechtsheim.
The event started with a soccer class for children in the Willy Wacker development age group, led by head coach Shinji Okazaki and his coaches. The children worked hard with smiles on their faces and seemed to be having a great time.
Next, the children from Düsseldorf and the children from Willy Wacker tried their hand at making rice balls together. This program was carried out with the cooperation of Yoko Izumida, who always provides food support after the matches, and it was a wonderful time for them to enjoy experiencing Japanese culture.
Before the match, Willy Wacker's children entered the stadium as escort kids alongside the FC BASARA Mainz players, creating a warm atmosphere in the stadium.
