【August Events】
BASARA Fussball Camp
The Fussball Camp was held from August 3rd to 6th.
German and Japanese children on summer vacation participated and spent four days enjoying soccer together.
Lunch during the camp was Japanese food!
We were provided with takoyaki and onigiri from Osaka Ball, ramen from Sori Ramen, and curry rice from Niko Niko Tei. Thank you very much to everyone who cooperated!
Over the four days, we saw the children's growth, and our staff also enjoyed interacting with them.
The next camp will be held for three days during the autumn holidays in October, from October 5th to 7th. Please join us!

Shizuoka University Management Short Training
From August 3rd to 17th, two students from Shizuoka University participated in a management training program at BASARA Mainz for about two weeks!
In this training, they experienced how overseas football clubs are operated by participating in actual club activities, including planning and operating home game events and participating in the BASARA Fußball Camp.
Furthermore, it wasn't just about observation; the students had the opportunity to think about and implement plans for home games, such as preparing and running an origami workshop where they taught children attending the event to fold origami, introducing them to Japanese culture.
Although it was a short period, it was a valuable opportunity for BASARA to encounter different perspectives and ideas.
Thank you to the students from Shizuoka University for two weeks!

Chuo University Visit
In late August, students from Chuo University visited BASARA as part of their coursework and spent five days in Mainz!
This time, they visited after thoroughly studying BASARA in advance. On-site, the students actively learned by keenly observing and asking questions about anything that caught their interest, which was impressive.
During their stay, they visited Platinum, a sponsor of BASARA, and enjoyed German wine at St. Antony. They also visited 1. FSV Mainz 05, where they learned about the initiatives of a Bundesliga club from the international and CSR managers, took a stadium tour, and watched a match. It was a week that allowed them to experience the charm of Mainz, not only through soccer but also through interactions with local businesses.
And on the final day, they attended a BASARA match and cheered us on enthusiastically!
Thank you to the students of Chuo University for coming all the way to Mainz!

Media Day
In late August, we held this season's Media Day!
We took individual profile photos of each player and staff member, as well as a group photo of the entire team. The photos taken this time will be used in various places, such as social media and the "Team" page on our website.
The photography was handled by professional photographer Aya Kishimoto.

Hiro's Return & 100 Matches Achieved
Hiro, who had been out for a long time due to injury, returned to the official match pitch after 352 days!
After a long period of rehabilitation, he played in an official match wearing the BASARA uniform for the first time in about a year. We were able to see him back on the pitch again.
After overcoming a long rehabilitation period, he played in an official match wearing the BASARA uniform for the first time in about a year. And this comeback match was Hiro's 100th official match for BASARA.
Welcome Back Hiro! And congratulations on 100 matches!
【Comment】
I have returned after about a year. During my rehabilitation, many people asked me, "How is your knee? When will you be able to return?" I am happy to finally be able to play in front of those people and the fans and supporters of Basara.
It is an honor to have played 100 matches, and I want to thank the former coaches who played me, and our current coach Okazaki.
We have finished a few matches this season, but I will do my best for promotion, so please continue to support us.
Takahiro Okuno
