【July Events】
Pre-season Start
With the addition of new players and staff, training for the new season began at the end of June. This season, we are determined to achieve promotion to the 5th division, enhance our team strength, and pave the way to victory!

Welcome Party for New Players and Staff
On July 11th, we held a welcome party for new players and staff after practice.
Players were divided into teams, brought their own food and drinks, and we had a Grillen Party (BBQ).
After satisfying the players' hunger, it's a yearly tradition for new players to sing a song and participate in a challenging race.
Most of our players work or go to school while playing for Basara, so opportunities for team events are rare. However, we hope to increase these non-football interaction times as much as possible.

2026/27 Season Opening Match (August 1st)
August 1st marked the start of the 2026/27 season!
BASARA Mainz, currently in the Verbandsliga (6th division), narrowly missed promotion last season, finishing 3rd (with a chance for promotion from 2nd place). This season, we must continue to win to be promoted to the Oberliga (5th division).
Our first match was a home game against FC Wienbald Kandel (a strong team we competed against last season).
The result was a disappointing 1-3 loss.We will regroup for the next match and aim for a victory!
At the event, we invited "St. Antony," a local Nierstein winery that became our training kit sponsor this season, to sell their wine at the venue.
Thank you to the 204 spectators who attended and supported us.
This season, in addition to football matches, we will level up our events to make the venue an even more enjoyable place for everyone who attends. Thank you for your continued support.

Origami Workshop
(Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. You create various shapes by folding a single sheet of paper.)
Currently, short-term exchange students from Shizuoka University are undergoing management training at BASARA for about three weeks.As part of this program, they are planning and managing this origami workshop. Please feel free to join us!

Recruiting exhibitors for Japan Fest (September 5th, October 31st)
Japan Fest (Japanese product exhibition), which was very popular last season, is scheduled to be held.
We are looking for Familie members, their families, and acquaintances who wish to exhibit in the flea market section.
The only condition for exhibiting is that you have at least one item related to Japan. Please bring any Japanese-related goods you have sleeping at home and exhibit them!
